>> it's happening at this starbucks in san jose in. someone apparently tried to leave tainted orange juice for customers to buy. good evening everyone. >> thankfully somebody saw something suspicious before anybody had a chance to drinks juice. but real concern this isn't the first time or the last that she tried it. allen is live in san jose tonight with the breaking news. >> it happened here around 3:45 this afternoon when customer noticed a woman odd behavior as she walked in and pulled out 2 bottles of orange juice and stacked them next to other refrig rated items. after the woman left the customer told

the store manager and employee noticed a toxic smell coming from the container so they called in the haz must material team. one bottle had a mixture of orange juice and alcohol also known as rubbing khochlt the other had acetone in it which is commonly used as nail polish rae mover. camera captured the suspect license plate and police traced it back to the suspect home in south san jose where they arrested 50-year-old woman. no one drank the tainted orange juice and investigators do not believe she did this at any other stores still starbucks says it's checking the bottled benches at other nearby stores. now police have not relessed a motive as to why this woman would want to poison customers but they plan on having a press conference tomorrow morning to explain it all. reporting live in san jose, abc 7 news. >> new development tonight in the hunt for the killer of an 8-year-old girl. miss fowler was stabbed to death in her

home in valley springs east of stockton on sachlts her parents law enforcement held news conference tonight. 7 news reporter is in valley springs with tonight development for u us. >> carolyn the sheriff's department released new information tonight. detectives still not found the murder weapon. sheriff says he also believes the killer wept to the house with the intent of attacking the girl this was not some type of botched robbery. autopsy today confirmed she died of shock hemorrhaging from the stab wounds and sheriff's department is concerned the killer is still on the loose. >> parents of the murdered girl fowler and crystal walters had planned to say a few words but changed their minds unable to bring themselves to speak. family friend conveyed how the community is feeling. >> a lot of pain. a lot of pain a lot of anger. a lotxd of before why. confusion who would do this who would do this to a beautiful little 8-year-old givrment i can't

wrap my mind around that. >> 8-year-old fowler stabbed to ath on saturday. at home with her 12-year-old brother who says a man broke into their home in the town of valley springs. tonight the sheriff's department announced it's almost done interviewing and searching sex offender and pa parolee in the area. >> we checked them because we wanted to know what the whereabouts were and to see if there was anything that was on the person or in their home that would have tied back to the case. >> at this school where she went to school council lrs and therapy dog were on hand to ease the pain of incomprehensible crime. >> people are hurting right no now. but the beauty of being here together is that they are able to share communicate and try to heal as much as possible. >> tonight the sheriff made this promise. >> will not rest until we capture responsible person. >> sheriff's officials say they will continue extra patrol until they are no longer neede needed. they have not ruled out any of the sex offender or

>> san francisco police policy could be putting your car at risk of being stolen. in fact vallejo man says it cost him his ride. >> i team magazines and more on what happened itch the victim rick wilson says the police towed his car and when he went to pick it up it was gone. something the officer did made the vehicle an easy target for a thief. >> driving a rental car provided by his insurance company is not how rick wilson wants to get around. he has no choice. this 1986 ford mustang was his prized possession. >> car had more sentimental value than dollar value.

>>reporter: it was his girlfriend's she passed away a few years ago. >> we had a passion for mustang. car club together. >>reporter: back in february wilson and friends were out on the town. they got no a brawl with a group of other guys at gas station at bell exploratorium police detained wilson and took him to park station. they towed his car to the impound lot. auto return on peer 70. >> when i was detained that night by the officers they took my key off my key ring and placed them in the vehicle. >>reporter: san francisco police say there was nothing unusual about the tow. including taking the car keys and leaving them in the car. wilson was never charged for the brawl. when he went to the auto return to ping the cary thought they were joking when they told him the car had been stolen. >> essentially treated like a crime lab. they still evidence from the crime lab? pretty much the same thing. >>reporter: somehow someone was able to drive off the lot with wilson's car. >> public auction going on that day and the suspect gained entry to one of the vehicle and

drove out of the lot past the security gate. >>reporter: san francisco police called the theft brazen but say it's not their fault. >> i don't know what canada of security measures they have if place for that storage lot. >>reporter: auto return city contract not with the sf pd but fall under municipal transportation agency. pall rose the mta spokesman. >> there is a lot of security at auto return right now whether looking at armed guard guards, security fencing, security infrastructure, alarms video surveillance. >>reporter: we found the things when we visited it there on the auction day. i need to talk to a manager who is in charge. >> wait outside please. >>reporter: we were met by armed guard not allowed inside with our camera. in order to get into the auction you have to agree to be frisked. and to get out, the guard checks the car and paperwork before he opens the gate and lets you drive away. >> nobody asked for draivrs license. nobody asked for

paperwork. >>reporter: wilson expects it was an inside job. >> how it was able to happen working to find out exactly what took place but we will get to the bottom of it. >>reporter: about 1 week after the car was stolen wilson got a call from police. they found the vehicle and suspect at this o'reilly auto parts on bayshore boulevard. when police approached the driver took off. >> officer had to jump out of the way to avoid being struck by the suspect action. then sped through the parking lot and striking 2 other vehicle. >>reporter: police did catch the man. facing a number of charges including auto theft and assaulting an officer. police say he has a history of stealing cars. >> there was to be an ipod. >> stress crack all underneath. >>reporter: we were there when wilson saw what was left of the totalled car. he wants police and auto return to stop leaving keys inside impounded vehicle. >> it leaves room, opportunity for criminals to steal things easier. >>reporter: sf pd says taking
